National Disability Voter Registration week — and Accessible Voting Units in the August 4 primary
This week is National Disability Voter Registration Week. The REV UP Campaign coordinates this week to increase the political power of the estimated 35 million people with disabilities who are eligible to vote in 2020.
Here in Washington, voters with disabilities can register online at VoteWA.gov. You can also print out voter registration forms in many different languages.
As a voter with a disability, you can request a reasonable accommodation or assistance to vote. County elections offices have Accessible Voting Units (AVUs) at their local offices for in-person voting. You can also vote by mail, or drop your ballot off in a dropbox.
Here is an up-to-date list of locations and hours for local ballot drop boxes and AVUs. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the AVUs are being disinfected between voters.
This information is also available in other languages at VoteWA.gov. . Select the preferred language (top right corner), enter your name and date of birth. If you are a registered voter, the information displayed will be targeted for your county. Click the Voting Centers link on the left sidebar for a list of Drop Box and In-Person Voting Center locations.
